Position Summary

We are seeking a Temporary Research Associate to join an exciting, fast growing and well-financed new company to develop novel gene editing therapies for serious diseases. The successful candidates will be integral in discovering and developing the next generation of genetic therapies for a wide range of indications. The position requires enthusiasm, passion, attention to detail and a desire to create new medicines for patients.

Responsibilities 

  • Perform research requiring mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques
  • Conduct time sensitive experiments and analyze data under the guidance of research scientists or group leader
  • Present research findings to internal and external groups as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in biology or related discipline, with at least 1+ year of relevant experience
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture, extraction and handling of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA), and downstream applications including ddPCR and qRT-PCR
  • Excellent oral and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a results oriented research team
  • Highly organized with significant attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in biology or relevant discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Flow cytometry experience including cell sorting
  • Familiarity with protein purification techniques and downstream applications
  • Previous experience with primary cells and/or hematopoietic stem cells
