Position Summary

We are seeking a Temporary Research Associate to join an exciting, fast growing and well financed new company to develop novel gene editing therapies for serious diseases. The successful candidates will be integral in discovering and developing the next generation of non-viral delivery platform for in vivo delivery of the CRISPR/Cas9 based technology. The successful candidates will have significant wet lab experience, and a capability to rapidly learn and independently run new assays and experiments. The position requires enthusiasm, passion, attention to detail, and a desire to create important new medicines for patients.

 Responsibilities

  • Planning and hand-on execution of lipid-nanoparticle formulation of RNA
  • Planning and hand-on execution of nanoparticle characterization and analysis
  • Gather, analyze and present experimental data under the direction of the Research Scientist
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and reagents, as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in biology or related discipline and 2+ years of relevant research experience
  • Extensive assay experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working under sterile or RNase free conditions
  • Strong comfortability with algebraic calculations
  • Track record of intellectually challenging oneself to enhance scientific abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a results oriented research team; highly organized with significant attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience with nanoparticle formulations (LNPs, liposomes, or polymeric)
  • Strong background in organic chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or related field
  • Experience working with RNA
