Dr. Stephen Elledge
Dr. Stephen Elledge is the Gregor Mendel Professor of Genetics and Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is an Investigator with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He has published over 250 articles, which include groundbreaking contributions to the study of proteins and biochemical pathways that regulate the cell division cycle, how cells sense and respond to DNA damage, how cells selectively destroy proteins in response to signals and how these pathways are usurped in human cancer. He has received numerous awards for his research. Stephen received a Ph.D. in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and did his post-doctoral studies at Stanford University. He also holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Illinois.
